Function
Potassium cocoate is a natural surfactant, a chemical that removes dirt from the surface of objects and skin when you mix it with water.
Potassium cocoate loosens and keeps dirt and grease off surfaces until they flow down the drain.
Potassium cocoate is surfactant that spreads molecules apart, reducing a surface's tension.
As a result, the dirt and grease trapped by those molecules are released. The grime rises, leaving the surface below clean.
Potassium Cocoate is commonly used surfactant for it's cleaning and degreasing property but it can also help to control foam.
Potassium Cocoate is also frequently used in personal care products and it is ideal for use in liquid formulations, such as hand soaps for dispensers, shower and bath products, etc.
Potassium Cocoate is predominantly manufactured from vegetable oil raw materials and so is often perceived as natural or naturally derived surfactant.
Potassium Cocoate provides the advantage of increased solubility over Sodium Cocoate.
