GLYCERINE DIACETATE

Glycerine Diacetate is a clear, colorless, hygroscopic, somewhat oily liquid with a slight, fatty odor. It consists predominantly of a mixture of the 1,2—and 1,3-diacetates of Glycerine, with minor mono- and tri-esters.

Glycerine Diacetate, an ester of Glycerine and Acetic acid, is used as a plasticizer and emulsifier in various industries, including food, paints, coatings, printing, textile, and explosive industries.

GLYCERINE DIACETATE is also known as Diacetin, glycerol diacetate, or glyceryl diacetate.

GLYCERINE DIACETATE is an emulsifier for flavors and a plasticizer in food products, including ice creams.

Glyceryl Diacetate acts like an emollient in cosmetic products and preserves the humidity in personal care formulations.

Glycerine Diacetate is widely used as a food additive to solve the flavorings.

Glycerine Diacetate is used, either on its own or in conjunction with triacetin or other esters/additives, as a curing agent for Sodium silicate or phenol-formaldehyde resins systems and as hydrolyzable acidulant in the dyeing of polyester and other fabrics with acid dyestuffs.

Glycerine diacetate, with the E number E1517, is a food additive. This diglyceride is more generally known as Glycerine Diacetate.

Glycerine Diacetate is the diester of Glycerine and acetylating agents, such as acetic acid and acetic anhydride.

It is a colorless, viscous, odorless liquid with a high boiling point.

Glycerine diacetate (Diacetin) is typically a mixture of two isomers, 1,2-glycerine diacetate and 1,3-glycerine diacetate.
