Dehypon GRA

Dehypon GRA

Chemical nature Preparation based on: Alcohols C12-14 and 2-Hydroxyethyl-2-hydroxy-C12-14-alkylether, ethoxylated

Modified fatty alcohol polyglycolether Content (W/W): >= 75 % - <= 100 %

Dehypon GRA is a granular low foaming surface active product with an excellent wetting behavior.
Because Dehypon GRA is a granule, it is easy to handle reducing the complexity of the production process for multifunctional powders and tablets, e.g. no specific storage and transport requirements, and offering greater formulation flexibility.

Modified fatty alcohol polyglycolether

Dehypon GRA  is a low foaming surfactant in granular form, offering the cleaning and spotting performance consumers associate with a traditional phosphate containing product in the New Phosphate Free format and the required “carry through” characteristics that provide excellent rinse aid performance in multifunctional Automatic Dish Detergent.

Easy Handling
Significant better rinse aid performance on porcelain, glass and cutlery when compared to standard low foaming products
Excellent wetting behavior
“Carry through“ effect: Dehypon GRA holds tight until the final rinse cycle
External test institute confirmed rinse aid performance and found reduced spotting compared to a 3 in 1 benchmark product
Readily biodegradable / no “N“ label required
Complies with EU Detergent Guideline sufficient stability in alkaline formulations and is stable in the presence of acids
Remarkable Chemistry – Modified Hydroxyether

DEHYPON GRA
General characterisation
Chemical description
Modified fatty alcohol polyglycolether

Product properties
Appearance: Granule

Because of its product properties it is mainly used as rinse aid additive in multifunctional autodish powdersor tablets (combining cleaner, salt and rinse aid functions in one product).
Because DEHYPON GRA is a granule, it is easy to handle reducing the complexity of the production process for multifunctional powders and tablets, e.g. no specific storage and transport requirements, andoffering greater formulation flexibility.
Additionally, DEHYPON GRA has sufficient stability in alkaline formulations and is stable in the presence of acids, e.g. phosphoric acid or citric acid.
DEHYPON GRA is compatible with anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants.

Cloud Point (BDG): 55 - 65°C DIN 1890

pH value (10%): 5.5 - 7.0 ISO 4316

Colour (Hazen/APHA)< 300 mgPt/l ISO 627

Water: <1,0 %  ISO 4317

Melting Point: 48 - 53°C ISO 6321

Methods of analysis
By the characteristic values described under section 'Specifications'.
In order to determine theHazen/APHA - color, the product sample must molten at 70°C and centrifuged prior measuring.
The cloudpoint measurement might be superimposed by a slight turbidity of the solution.
This can be overcome bydownward measurement comparing to a reference sample at ambient temperature.
