AGNIQUE SLS 90 P

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a concentrated sodium dodecyl sulfate powder that gives solid agrochemical formulations fast wetting and strong water interaction.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P's high-active anionic structure helps WG and WP products break down more effectively when diluted before application.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is valuable when a formulation needs a water-soluble powder surfactant that supports disintegration, dispersion, and practical solid-product performance.

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a chemical raw material that can be used in various applications.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is an anionic surfactant known as sodium lauryl sulfate.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is also known by the synonyms sodium lauryl sulfate, SLS, or SDS.

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is widely used in the cosmetics and cleaning industries.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is an effective surfactant used in shampoos, shower gels, toothpastes, soaps, and other personal care products.

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P helps create a rich lather and remove dirt and grease from the skin and hair.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P also has an emulsifying effect, allowing oils and water to mix, which makes it a popular ingredient in detergents.

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a high-active anionic surfactant based on sodium dodecyl sulfate / sodium lauryl sulfate chemistry.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is supplied as a white powder with more than 99% active content and is mainly used in solid agrochemical formulations.

In WG and WP systems, AGNIQUE SLS 90 P helps improve wetting and enhances the disintegration of solid formulations when they are dispersed in water.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P's water-soluble powder form makes it useful when a formulation needs strong anionic surfactant performance without adding liquid carriers.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is especially suitable for solid crop protection products that require fast wetting, easy water dispersion, and reliable formulation breakdown.

Uses of AGNIQUE SLS 90 P:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is used as a surfactant and disintegration enhancer in solid agrochemical formulations.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is especially suitable for WG and WP formulation types, where the product must wet quickly and break apart efficiently after contact with water.

AGNIQUE SLS 90 P can support water-dispersible granules, wettable powders, and other solid crop protection systems by improving powder wetting and dispersion behavior.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P's sodium dodecyl sulfate structure also provides strong surface activity, helping reduce interfacial tension and improving water interaction with solid particles.

Cleaning Products uses:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P’s ability to break down oil and grease lends itself well to industrial products.
You can find AGNIQUE SLS 90 P in household cleaning products as well as engine cleaners and industrial-strength soaps.

Food uses:
You may see AGNIQUE SLS 90 P used in certain foods you eat, within limits approved by the FDA.
As a food additive, AGNIQUE SLS 90 P can make marshmallows fluffier and dried egg products lighter.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P helps mix citrus and other acidic liquids with water to make fruit drinks.

Pharmaceutical applications:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a widely used in the pharmaceutical field as an ionic solubilizer and emulsifier that is suitable for applications in liquid dispersions, solutions, emulsions and micro emulsions, tablets, foams and semi-solids such as creams, lotions and gels.
Additionally, AGNIQUE SLS 90 P aids in tablet wettability, as well as lubrication during manufacturing.

Miscellaneous applications:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is used in an improved technique for preparing brain tissues for study by optical microscopy.
The technique was the work of Karl Deisseroth and coworkers at Stanford University, and involves infusion of the organ with an acrylamide solution to bind the macromolecules of the organ (proteins, nucleic acids, etc.), followed by thermal polymerization to form a "brain–hydrogel" (a mesh interspersed throughout the tissue to fix the macromolecules and other structures in space), and then by lipid removal using SDS to eliminate light scattering with minimal protein loss, rendering the tissue quasi-transparent.
Along with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate and Triton X-100, aqueous solutions of SDS are popular for dispersing or suspending nanotubes, such as carbon nanotubes.

Cleaning and hygiene uses:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is mainly used in detergents for laundry with many cleaning applications.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a highly effective surfactant and is used in any task requiring the removal of oily stains and residues.

For example, AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is found in higher concentrations with industrial products including engine degreasers, floor cleaners, and car exterior cleaners.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is a component in hand soap, toothpastes, shampoos, shaving creams, and bubble bath formulations, for its ability to create a foam (lather), for its surfactant properties, and in part for its thickening effect.

Food additive uses:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is considered a generally recognized as safe (GRAS) ingredient for food use according to the USFDA (21 CFR 172.822).
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is used as an emulsifying agent and whipping aid.

As an emulsifier in or with egg whites the United States Code of Federal Regulations require that AGNIQUE SLS 90 P must not exceed 1,000 parts per million (0.1%) in egg white solids or 125 parts per million (0.0125%) in frozen or liquid egg whites and as a whipping agent for the preparation of marshmallows it must not exceed 0.5% of the weight of gelatine.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is reported to temporarily diminish perception of sweetness

Laboratory applications:
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P is used in cleaning procedures, and is commonly used as a component for lysing cells during RNA extraction or DNA extraction, inhibiting the activity of nucleases, enzymes that can degrade DNA, protecting the integrity of the isolated genetic material, and for denaturing proteins in preparation for electrophoresis in the AGNIQUE SLS 90 P-PAGE technique.
In the case of AGNIQUE SLS 90 P-PAGE, the compound works by disrupting non-covalent bonds in the proteins, and so denaturing them, i.e. causing the protein molecules to lose their native conformations and shapes.

By binding to proteins at a ratio of one AGNIQUE SLS 90 P molecule per 2 amino acid residues, the negatively charged detergent provides all proteins with a similar net negative charge and therefore a similar charge-to-mass ratio.
In this way, the difference in mobility of the polypeptide chains in the gel can be attributed solely to their length as opposed to both their native charge and shape.
This separation based on the size of the polypeptide chain simplifies the analysis of protein molecules.

Production of AGNIQUE SLS 90 P:
Dodecyl alcohol is sulfated using sulfur trioxide.

The reaction proceeds by initial formation of the pyrosulfate:
2 SO3 + ROH → ROSO2−O−SO3H
ROSO2−O−SO3H → ROSO3H + SO3

Several million tons are produced annually.
AGNIQUE SLS 90 P can also be synthesized by treating lauryl alcohol with chlorosulfuric acid.
The resulting half ester of sulfuric acid is then neutralized with alkali.
