ATMP or aminotris(methylenephosphonic acid) is a phosphonic acid. It has chelating properties. ATMP has better antiscale performance than that of polyphosphate through its excellent chelating ability, low threshold inhibition and lattice distortion process. It can prevent scale formation in water systems.
Dequest 2000 is a general purpose, cost-effective scale inhibitor based on amino tri methylene phosphonic acid. Dequest 2000 provides corrosion inhibition with zinc and phosphates and is a good chelant.
