2-DIETHYLAMINOETHANOL

2-Diethylaminoethanol is petitioned for use in boiler chemical systems to prevent carbonic acid corrosion in return lines.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is an ingredient in pesticide formulations and as a chemical intermediate for the production of emulsifiers, detergents, and solubilizers.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is also an intermediate for manufacturing cosmetics, textile finishing agents, fabric softeners, dyes, drugs and pharmaceuticals, and fatty acids.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is also used in antirust compositions and is a curing agent for resins.

2-Diethylaminoethanol inhibits corrosion by neutralizing carbonic acid in steam and steam condensates and scavenging free oxygen.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is used in conjunction with cyclohexylamine, morpholine, and octadecylamine.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is a neutralizing amine boiler additive generally used in combination with other neutralizing amines such as morpholine.

2-Diethylaminoethanol acts as a volatile basic amine capable of neutralizing carbonic acid in steam, thereby preventing corrosion in steam lines and the removal of oxygen.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is made by chemically synthesizing diethylamine with ethylene chlorohydrin or ethylene oxide. Therefore, it is synthetic.

Product Description
2-Diethylaminoethanol (DEAE) is a clear, colorless, hygroscopic liquid.
2-Diethylaminoethanol is a neutralizing amine for boiler water, coatings, etc.

2-Diethylaminoethanol's ideal vapor pressure and vapor-liquid distribution properties make it the best choice for pH adjustment of process water.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is a vapor-phase corrosion inhibitor for the water treatment industry.

Beyond its application in water treatment, 2-Diethylaminoethanol is also used as a neutralizing amine for industrial coatings and an intermediate for various surfactants.

2-Diethylaminoethanol (DEAE) is added to the water in boilers in steam humidification systems to minimize pipe corrosion.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is also an alkalizing agent in HVAC systems to neutralize carbonic acids.

When 2-Diethylaminoethanol is used in an open ventilation system, it can deposit on all available surfaces, including works of art.

2-Diethylaminoethanol produces an oily residue that can soften varnishes.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is a precursor for producing various chemical commodities such as local anesthetic procaine.

Diethylethanolamine is a corrosion inhibitor in steam and condensate lines by neutralizing carbonic acid and scavenging oxygen.

Diethylethanolamine reacts with 4-aminobenzoic acid to make procaine.

DEAE is a precursor for DEAE-cellulose resin commonly used in ion exchange chromatography.

it can decrease the surface tension of water when the temperature is increased.

Solutions of DEAE absorb carbon dioxide (CO2).

2-diethylaminoethanol is a member of the class of ethanolamines that is aminoethanol in which ethyl groups replace the hydrogens of the amino group.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is a member of ethanolamines, a tertiary amine compound, and a primary alcohol.

2-Diethylaminoethanol is functionally related to an ethanolamine.
It derives from a hydride of a triethylamine.

Preparation of 2-Diethylaminoethanol
Diethylethanolamine is prepared commercially by the reaction of diethylamine and ethylene oxide.

(C2H5)2NH + cyclo(CH2CH2)O → (C2H5)2NCH2CH2OH
It is also possible to prepare it by diethylamine and ethylene chlorohydrin reaction.
