IRGACOR

BASF supplies a broad range of Corrosion inhibitors under the brand Irgacor® for use in lubricants, greases, fuels and aqueous fluids. These ashless portfolios offer both oil and water soluble products for use in all industrial lubricant applications and metalworking fluids.  Several of the components have FDA/NSF approval.  The IRGACOR product line provides users with excellent ferrous or yellow metal protection.  The IRGACOR products can also offer lubricant marketers: ease of handling as most products in the portfolio are liquid, low foaming tendencies, compatibility in hard water, no antagonism with EP/AW additives, formulation benefits as several products have emulsifying capabilities. Using IRGACOR corrosion inhibitors and metal deactivators, lubricant marketers can offer formulations with excellent metal protection and thermo-oxidative stability into most major application areas.
